Bagpak White Label’s third release features a solid collection of remixes of Kahuun’s scandalous drunken jazz number, ‘Slyngel’.
Representing Puerto Rico’s Amalgama posse, Squadra (aka Chucky Rojas) takes the track into the ruff broken territory, with its jagged beats, dirty bassline and scattered elements from the original, and Flyin’ High Records’ Dutchman, Moto (one-third of Moody Allen) flips the track into a slammin’ electro-tech-disco boogie tune. NYC’s Yellowtail kick’s it up a notch with his BTEK remix, taking the original into a deep house territory. And lastly, UK veteran producer, Rhythm Doctor delivers a moody and minimal nu-afro-tribal number with its dark upright bassline driving it into the unknown territory.
