Bagpak
Records’ September 2006 release is a deep futuristic soul number from
Arch_typ (aka Charles Noel, Monochrome, Archetype, Arch Tight, Arch
Typ, etc), whose musical journey can be traced back to the early 90s.
Arch_type, along with Titonton Duvante, Todd Sines and Mike Szewczyk
started 'Body Release', a band known for its fresh low-bit breaks dipped
in lush melodies. During this time, he also founded 2122 Corporation,
releasing multiple singles and EPs featuring artists like Dan Curtin,
Titonton, Todd Sines and Marc Mac. His current work presents a unique
blend of Detroit techno and West London broken beat. Considered by his
peers as one of the leading future music producers in NYC, Arch_typ’s
music can be heard on influential labels such as Moonstarr’s Public
Transit Records, Cookin and more.
“Do It
is a solid dancefloor piece with disco-tech heavy beats featuring Ahmad
Larnes’ soulful vocals. Born in New Jersey, based in Brooklyn, Ahmad
is no new comer. Featured on releases from labels such as King Street,
Nite Grooves and more, Ahmad (aka Black Shampu) has traveled extensively
in Europe and the U.S. lending his vocal talents to a wide range of
producers and artists. An integral part of Bagpak Records' foundation,
Ahmad's unique, rich and soulful vocals can also be heard on the upcoming
Nubian Mindz' release coming Winter 2006.
“Good vibes
is a track that has been floating the CDR and online radio space for
some time now drawing attention for its unique approach to techno, house
and broken beats. “Meters is a deep, tech jazz piece - another taste
of Arch_typ’s wide range production skills and influences.
