Since first bursting on to the electronic scene, British-Japanese 22 year old, Maya Janes Coles has quickly established herself as one of the most respected cutting edge producers in London today. Winning fans and critics hearts and heads a like with her unique style of House music, Maya likes to keep things fresh, making her mark with her memorable DJ and live sets. Her previous releases have regularly hit the Beatport charts and earned her support from the likes of Steve Bug, Anja Schneider, Audiofly, Laurent Garnier to name a few. It's clear in Maya's productions that she takes influence from sounds way outside the Tech scene and her talents stretch far beyond House music. Her dub/electronica outfit, She Is Danger (alongside vocalist Lena Cullen) is also steadily on the rise and under this guise she has remixed the likes of Massive Attack, Gorillaz and Dreadzone. If that wasn't enough, the first release of her Dubstep project, Nocturnal Sunshine, is on its way with tracks being supported by the likes of Joy Orbison and Scuba. Whilst She Is Danger picks up plaudits at pace, Maya continues to DJ playing parties from Berlin to Japan to Barcelona with Sonar, Bestival and Matter a few of her recent scalps.
