Most influencial and oldest Estonian indie-rock group R””vel ™”bik will be releasing their seventh studio album ?Ringrada? with a licence contract with Universal Music Baltics so the CD will be distributed all over the Scandinavia and the Baltic states.
R””vel ™”bik formed in the middle of the 80s as an art-school friends band which rose from the ashes of the members of the former punk-groups.
R””vel ™”bik?s dirty indie also reached the miraculous ears of John Peel. BBC Radio legend invited them to Maide Vale studios where they recorded ? as first act from Eastern Europe ? John Peel Session in 1993.
After experimenting with electronical music under name of Una Bomba in the nineties they returned as a bold and full of rock band in 2005 with their album ?Supersymmetry?. The new album ?Ringrada? is very catchy with influences from disco to trance and next to the guitar riffs you can also hear some saxophone.
At the moment there is a duo single out ? ?P„ike Maa (erostratos)? in Estonian and video single ?Kids Stuff Rokk?. Kids? Stuff Rokk has already made history as the first Baltic video that is on the first place on both Baltic MTV charts ? Zen MTV Baltic Top 20 and regional MTV hit chart World Chart Express. Notable is also the fact that one third of the Baltic Top votes came from Lithuanian MTV viewers.
On the album there is also another Estonian track ?Thulelohe? that debuted at this years Estonian president ball.
