Dario Boente is a pianist, keyboardist, composer and producer in Argentina, based in New York City, associated especially with the jazz scene. He has also toured/recorded with DJ Louie Vega & ‘The Elements of Life’, producer Joshua Thompson (George Benson, Luther Wandross, Alicia Keys), Ananda Project, Dj Mr & others. However, jazz is only one of its many influences and one of his many interests, and therefore heard, has no intention of focusing on one, his music is a clear example of fusion. Their is an ambitious proposal to integrate succeeds own rhythms of the electronics club, with a predilection for house and techno, with instrumentation and improvisation of jazz, which amount to two major influences: Brazilian music and tango (that is, generally speaking, Latin music). Theirs is the music that would make Louie Vega or Blaze with more jazz influence or Gotan Project, if they were not limited to tango only. Dario can face this challenge with guarantees of success because it combines training with an obvious jazz talent as a composer, arranger and producer. It is also a notable interpreter of piano too accustomed to keyboards. This means that in the same way that you can write a beautiful melody or can produce an attractive piece of electronic dance-based programming, loops and samples. A complete artist, who knows how to harness all their skills to create an extremely interesting music.
For Huge in Japan Dario teams up with inspired musicians from around the globe. Collaborators include Ronny Jordan on guitar, Antonio Sanchez on drums (Pat Metheny Group), Jorge Pardo on flute (Paco de Lucia, Chick Corea), Luis Quintero on percussion (Celia Cruz, Louie Vega,), Gregoire Maret on harmonica (Pat Metheny Group), Hector del Curto on bandoneon (Pablo Ziegler), and African singer Francis Mbappe.
