Bagpak Music Solo Series [BPSS] Developed by NYC’s Bagpak Music, BPSS (Bagpak Music Solo Series) was set up to act as a platform for unsigned artists seeking to promote their music worldwide. Carefully selected by Bagpak’s A&R team, BPSS represents some of the finest unsigned talents for all continents covering a wide range of genres and styles. About the artist: Thierry Barnier aka FlinT is a native of France. His musical education started early, at the age of eight, with a classic guitar later to be rediscovered through the bass guitar and drum machine experiments when already very fond of electronic music under the influence of Kraftwerk, Joy Division, New Order, The Residents, Thierry buys his first synthesizer, the mythic sequential circuit polysix and his electronic adventure starts. Influenced by many different genres as diverse as disco, punk, techno, drum ‘n’ bass, jazz and classic music he very naturally develops a real multicultural approach to music. Heavily interested in the electronic music from Detroit particularly in artists such as Moodyman and Theo Parrish, in 2000 he gets bit by the broken beat bug. The result of these wide influences is his debut release on BPSS – a genre that he likes to define himself as the broken deep.
